Robert brings more than 30 years’ expertise in the landlord-tenant field.  He spent 15 years advocating for owners in all types of rent stabilization and rent control case in the courts and DHCR, including throughout the City in Supreme Court, in the Appellate Division for the First and Second Departments, and at the New York Court of Appeals.  He spent over 7 years as In-house Landlord Tenant Counsel to a real estate management firm, giving advice and counsel to staff on best practices for dealing with tenants and navigating the landlord tenant laws, along with acting as Supervisor to a team of lawyers, appearing throughout the City, and overseeing landlord tenant cases throughout New York State by outside law firms.  Most recently, he was Senior Attorney at Amsterdam & Lewinter using his vast experience to handle Housing Court cases throughout the City and overcharge and services cases at DHCR.

 

Robert graduated from the Honors College at City College of New York and New York Law School.  He is admitted to practice law in New York.

 

Robert is dedicated to his family and enjoys spending time with his extended family on weekends.  In his free time, Robert serves as an volunteer Arbitrator in the Small Claims Part of the Civil Court to gain insight on how judges view cases.  Robert is an avid New York Mets fan and roots for all New York teams.
