Robert C. Ehrlich

Rob joined Lazarus Karp Ehrlich McCourt, LLP (formerly known as Lazarus Karp, LLP) in 2020. Rob has been a fixture in the New York City housing court for almost 25 years.  While being a regular in recent years in Manhattan, he has appeared in the other boroughs’ courts as well.  He has extensive experience as a trial attorney and as a litigator of complex landlord and tenant issues.

 

Based upon his knowledge and experience, Mr. Ehrlich was appointed to the NYC Rent Guidelines Board, which addresses rent adjustments for approximately one million dwelling units in New York City.


In addition to his litigation experience, Rob handles real estate transactions involving residential and multi-family properties representing purchasers, sellers, and lenders.

Rob is a graduate of Clark University and received a Bachelor of Arts in political science in 1990 and earned a Juris Doctorate from Brooklyn Law School in 1993. He was admitted to the New York State Bar in 1995 and the same year, joined the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court of the State of New York, First Department.
