Mark H. Weinstein

Senior Counsel

Mark H. Weinstein is Senior Counsel at Lazarus Karp Ehrlich McCourt, LLP.  Mr. Weinstein is an experienced practitioner in all of New York’s courts, and has over 35 years of experience in the field of residential and commercial Landlord-Tenant law, and related administrative areas of the practice. He has successfully represented clients in administrative proceedings before the DHCR; New York City Commission on Human Rights; New York State Division of Human Rights; Environmental Control Board; Department of Buildings and the New York City Fire Department.  Mr. Weinstein has vast experience in trial and motion practice in New York City Civil Court and New York State Supreme Court, having tried 100’s of cases during his career, and having written and argued motions before the Civil and Supreme Courts.  Mr. Weinstein’s Appellate experience is equally robust, having researched and written appeals and argued at the Appellate Division, First Department.

 

Mr. Weinstein was admitted to practice in 1983, and is well regarded by his colleagues for his skills and knowledge as an advocate for his clients, and for his practical experience in navigating his clients through the complicated rules and regulations governing the Landlord-Tenant practice.  He is also well-respected by the bench for his level demeanor while zealously advocating on behalf of his clients.  Mr. Weinstein is viewed as a counselor to his clients as well as an advocate, and his clients appreciate his ability to help them resolve difficult issues to their satisfaction.

 

Mr.  Weinstein received his J.D. from the Boston University School of Law in 1981 and received his B.A. cum laude from the State University of New York at Buffalo in 1978.
