Mr. Lazarus was admitted to the practice of law in 1983 and federal court in 1984. Mr. Lazarus has experience in handling all kinds of cases including hearings, inquests, and trials in both Civil and Supreme court consisting of both bench and jury trials. 

 

For the past 10 years, Mark has been a member of the Bronx County Bar Judiciary Committee which reviews candidates for judicial appointment and reappointment. Mr. Lazarus previously served as co-chairman of the Bronx Landlord and Tenant Committee in the 1990s. He has been an associate member of the Bronx Bar for more than 35 years and  Mr. Lazarus was elected as a  Director of the Bronx Bar association 1999. 

In 1997, Mr. Lazarus was appointed to serve as a committee member on a City-Wide Practitioner Participation Committee. Only two attorneys from each borough were appointed by the Administrative Judge of the Civil Court. 

 

Mr. Lazarus has worked as a Small Claims Arbitrator for 35 years.  He was also a former Civil Court Arbitrator in the 1980s  and represented indigents with co-defendants in Criminal Court under the 18B program in the early 1990s. For his style, he is known as a "pit bull trial attorney."
